Policies and Expectations

Attendance

Attendance is expected each class. Unexcused absence will automatically reduce your participation grade. If you must miss class (due to illness, work, or family responsibilities, etc.) please notify me in advance.

Late Work and Extensions

Unexcused late work will drop one half grade automatically every 24 hours and will not be accepted after 48 hours unless you have been in contact with and obtained permission from me to submit the work. Extensions will be granted on a case-by-case basis and only when requested prior to the deadline.

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities

Students needing academic adjustments or accommodations because of a documented disability must present their Faculty Letter from the Accessible Education Office (AEO) and speak with me by the end of the second week of the term (11 September). All discussions will remain confidential.
